Karl spent two years at the University of Kentucky in the engineering department and then began finding his way through self imposed apprenticeships in carpentry, in masonry and finally working with cabinetmakers and furniture builders in New Hampshire. He has worked in all fields. Carpentry design and custom woodworking have evolved to be his primary direction. Some of his significant larger projects in the past in the local area include an indoor swimming pool connected to the main house with a library, bath and laundry room in Yardley on his own, and a garage / office / carriage house in Princeton with the help of his friend Dave Nelson of Nelson Remodeling.
His newest venture is creating one of a kind handmade wood furniture.
